We are looking for an experienced Head Waiter / Maître d' to join our team, working across both events and restaurant operations. You will be responsible for leading the service staff and ensuring that guests are welcomed with outstanding service and professionalism. Working hours are varied but primarily evenings and weekends. You will work closely with our sommeliers and restaurant manager to help develop both the restaurant and our events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the service team in daily operations
  • Ensure high standards of service quality and guest satisfaction
  • Train and develop waitstaff and service personnel
  • Oversee dining room operations and guest experience
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues professionally
  • Ensure service standards and dining etiquette are maintained
  • Collaborate closely with the kitchen and other departments

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in restaurant or hotel operations, minimum 4 years
  • Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and guide a team
  • Strong knowledge of wine, beverages, and table service
  • Excellent customer service mindset and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Fluent in Norwegian or English, both written and spoken
  • Professional appearance and conduct
